Kovsar Gurban was born on May 13, 2014, in Baku/Azerbaijan, into a family of artists. Her father- Orkhan Gurbanov and mother-Zeynab Gurbanova are graduates of the Faculty of Architecture and Design from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, majoring in Industrial Design. They have been members of the Azerbaijan Designers Union since 2012.
Her parents always encouraged Kovsar from the age of 3, seeing her passion for art, in drawing, painting, plasticine, and applique. In connection with her father’s work, Kovsar and her family went to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2018, and there she took a drawing course at the Heydar Aliyev Children and Youth Creativity Center. Kovsar grows and develops in the course of the honored artist Sayyad Bayramov.
On May 13, 2019, the young artist Kovsar Gurban, turned 5 years old, and had her First Individual Art Exhibition under the motto “Magic Brush” organized at the Children and Youth Creativity Center.
In his opening speech, the director of the Creativity Center, artist Murad Babayev noted that Kovsar differed from her peers with her talent and ability, and was awarded a “Diploma”.
Distinguished guests attending the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Education of Nakhchivan AR, Mrs. Heyran, awarded Kovser “Honorary Degree” of the Ministry of Education and congratulated the young and talented Kovsar. Mrs. Gulbuta, Chairman of the Nakhchivan AR Ministry of Culture, Sayyad Bayramov, artist Ulviya Hamzayeva, Chairman of the Artists’ Union of Nakhchivan AR, and Habiba Allahverdiyeva, artist, congratulated her with various gifts.
In September 2019, Kovsar returned to Baku with her family and in October joined the preschool group of secondary school No. 116. Now she is a member of the Art Club of Baku city Child and Youth Development Center No. 3. The art course teacher is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, Narmin Abdullayeva.
Since 2020 Kovsar Gurban is a little Ambassador of Faber Castell Azerbaijan.
Kovsar’s rich, colorful world, bright colors, and the ability to reflect the right composition and her thoughts on paper are a sign of her innate talent. The smiling sun, the doves of peace, the happy cheerful images that we often see in her paintings are the imagination of Kovsar’s happy children’s world
Kovsar regularly participates in both local and international exhibitions and competitions. Kovsar Gurban currently has 11 DIPLOMAS and 5 INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATES.
