The West has “Band-Aid”, with “Feed the World” and other songs… Artists from Europe and North America come together for a common goal: saving the starving children of Africa. The Arab Dream is an operetta (an epic song), brought together by 23 artists across the Arab world in 1998… from The Gulf to The Levant, to North Africa, all came together, singing about the realization of the dream of Arab unity and pan Arabism. Will our Arab Dream forever remain just a dream?
If all half a billion of us stood together, no one would dare infringe on our rights. For decades, the Arab world has been struggling and under attack by outsiders greedily eyeing its recourses, strategic location, and beautiful natural landscape… We sadly see so many parts of the Arab world suffering, from Palestine to Iraq, to Syria, to Libya, to Yemen, to Sudan, to Lebanon. From Occupation to political turmoil, to economic troubles. This song gives us hope.
“Generations after generations – will live upon our dream
and what we say today – is an oath for our lives
Maybe the darkness of the night will keep us away for a day but
the beam of light reaches the highest sky
That’s our dream as long as we live – one lap to embrace us all…”
